Scared..
Lately i have has some followers on instagram and tumblr that are for anorexia.. the concept of this honestly appalls me, they have names such as 'food is the enemy' 'dying to be thin' 'skinny is everything' and many more. When i went onto these account i felt physically ill as these girl put them self's down so much and post photos of there goal weight and how long they have starved themselves for.. it was sickening, I honestly can not comprehend what motivates people to make such accounts.. they are promoting eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia and telling people that they should starve themselves. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! It makes me so angry that anyone would try and influence another person to lose wight let alone want them to become anorexic.. im no doctor but it is common knowledge that having an eating disorder is a mental/psychological disorder. They have a distorted body image and an irrational fear of becoming overweight and there for take extreme attempts to lose weight.
I have seen so many people i know and know of become victim to this mental illness and is scares me that girls epically are promoting it and sharing tips on how to be anorexic or bulimic. People are so caught up on body image these days and are becoming obsessed with the way they look. My mum always told me if you eat healthy and exercise than you will be your best self and its true, i would rather be strong and healthy then being boney, tinny and sick looking. People don't find that attractive. Yes models are skinny but they are also tall which gives them a more elongated figure.. for example everyone goes on about the Victoria Secret models and how amazing they are, those girls are fit, healthy and strong and most definitely not anorexic other wise they wouldn't have the energy to work and be active.
These pro eating disorder accounts are so wrong and disgusting and the people behind them need help! If one of these accounts follows you on any sort of social media please block or report them because everyone is beautiful in there own way and we dont need this negativity in out lives!
