ROMANCE WAS BORN..

 Is a collection by Australian designers who are originally from Sydney, Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett. They met while studying at East Sydney Technical College and pursued there weird yet beautiful love of fashion and caught the attention of fashion media at Australian Fashion Week in 2008. From then on they have designed for Sports girl, had a feature and cover of Vogue, designed for a huge number of musicians and have been featured in many runway shows. The pair is featured on the right.

I love this collection!! It is so bold, bright and colorful with all the patterns clashing at once but the red hair and makeup tying it together. Everything was in this collection including matching skirts and tops, to an op-art bodysuit. There were sparkly peplum silhouettes and plenty of the candy/cartoon colours.. but there was also the simple element to the collection with a white cotton shirt dress printed with a bulging torso, as well as use of fine gold netting for detail and a glossy black folds of a skirt.



I just quickly wanted to show you my favorite piece out of the whole Romance was born collection, I will never forget it and still have the 2009 addition of Vogue that it was featured in. This piece also featured in there show at Australian fashion week in 2009 that was 'Ocean' themed at the Sydney Theater Company’s wharf. It is possibly the cutest thing i have ever seen and i honestly was looking into buying it! This octopus head piece with the matching top and skirt is honestly one of my dream outfits, i dont know why but i just love it!!!
